Goro

This is a baseball term, which also have strong relationship with this exhibition title Nippon Series. Among many 'Japlish baseball terms', Goro is not a katakana word that is incorrect English since it is onomatopoetic expression of a ball rolling. It is corrupted form of an English word 'Grounder'. Therefore

It is correct usage of katakana word. This word Goro will probably be used for good.
This is a piece with combination of anrtificial grass that is a symbol of contemporary baseball, printed wood and an artificial wood.
